FLMI February Prayer Report

February 16, 2011 Leave a comment

FOCUS SCRIPTURES:
Ezekiel 22:30-31; Isaiah 59:14-16a

Our February prayer welcomed two new intercessors to the FLMI Prayer House – making for a 3-fold cord. To encourage our new intercessors, I introduced the two Scriptures above and we learned the following:

First of all, God revealed his heart toward intercessors.
Secondly, the power of godly intercession is made clear.
Thirdly, God has compassion even for the rebellious.
Fourthly, one willing intercessor is an army with God.

Very early in their walk with God, both Gideon and David learned that it’s not the number of people, but the heart that counts with God.

After reading and reviewing the entire chapter (not just the focus verses), we felt the heart of God toward His people even when they were in the deep darkness of sin, rebellion, and idolatry. Although there was no intercessor to be found, God did not utterly destroy them, but sent a remnant into captivity.

We were refreshed by what we read and the promises of God that He is the same “today, yesterday and forever;” that His compassion fails not – being renewed every morning. Experiencing the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit, and getting a renewed vision of the godly intercessor’s prayer-work, we began to cry out on behalf of FLMI leadership circle and intercessors everywhere: For encouragement, increased strength, increased faith, and increased finance.

For courage to continue the good fight of faith; for the courageous faith of the nameless woman with the issue of blood; for the “great” faith of the centurion; and for the “wait on the Lord to the death” faith of old Simeon and Old Anna.

Understanding God’s heart for intercessors, we lifted up our government leaders, as well as all the leaders of the world. We prayed that those nation representatives that visit D.C. would in turn go out and touch other nations. We also prayed that our prayer houses in D.C. and Dublin would continue to glorify God.

We acknowledge that our nation and indeed our world are also in a time of deep darkness of sin and rebellion, when leaders, both church and secular, are calling wrong right and right wrong. We know also that God is still looking for intercessors. So be encouraged FLMI-ers and be renewed. He has called, chosen and prepared us spiritually, physically, and emotionally to do this peculiar, and sometimes lonely prayer-work. Jesus, our Great Intercessor, is our model and still looks out for us.

To God Be the Glory.

Prayer Call 10.11.010

October 12, 2010 Leave a comment

On the Prayer Conference Call tonight, Pastor Pat Chen shared an interesting connection between the scripture and our historical past/future. The following is written on her behalf from the comments she shared.

“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 3:18).

While reading from Proverbs 4:18 in her American Patriot’s Bible, she found this side note written along side the scripture.

HOPE
“But the path of the just is like the shining sun…” Prov. 4:18
The Whole Hope of Human Progress
William Henry Seward (1801-1872), the Secretary of State under Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson who negotiated the purchase of Alaska from Russian, stated:
“I do not believe human society, including not merely a few persons in any state, but whole masses of men, ever have attained, or ever can attain, a high state of intelligence, virtue, security, liberty, or happiness without the Holy Scriptures; even the whole hope of human progress is suspended on the ever-growing influence of the Bible.”

It turns out that William Henry Seward may have once lived in the Hay Adams Hotel when it was a residential hotel. This is the very same facility where the FLMI ministry holds its annual prayer banquet. We will meet in this hotel once again for the 2011 Prayer Banquet as a kick-off to the Gatekeepers Worship and Prayer Summit, April 14-16, 2011.
May the sound of righteousness and a wholehearted respect and dependence on the Word of God once again be heard in Washington D.C. that we may attain the high state of intelligence, virtue, security, liberty and happiness to which Mr. Seward refers and to which we all aspire.

Respectfully submitted,
Sherry Gilmore

Note: There were callers from all over the nation praying together, including from the states of Virginia, Maryland, Washington D. C. area, Indiana, MIssissippi, Colorado, Michigan and California. The next call will be Monday, November 8, 2010.

Prayer: Conference Call July 2010

It’s time to rise and pray!

We have decided to start our Monthly Call to Prayer on the 2nd Monday next week on Monday, July 12, 2010. Please dial in 1-712-432-0175 Access Code 371622#: Time: 6:00 pm Pacific Time and 9:00 pm Eastern Time.

We have decided to start our Monthly Call to Prayer on the 2nd Monday next week on Monday, July 12, 2010. Please dial in 1-712-432-0175 Access Code 371622#: Time: 6:00 pm Pacific Time and 9:00 pm Eastern Time. We will try this until the end of the year and evaluate if it is best to continue in the New Year. I hope this change does not throw some of your schedules off, but will only add to more Pastors and intercessors joining us because the need to pray for our nation is ever increasing. The hole for the oil spill in the Gulf Region has not stopped after 80 days and the schemes of the enemy never stop either against God’s people and our nation. But God! But prayer!

The summer season is in full swing now and some are able to take vacation. Summer is usually a time to slow down and take a rest and regroup. There is nothing wrong with that. We all need to take time to assess and reassess our lives and schedules to see if we are in the will of the Lord. We need to hear His voice anew and adjust to His leading. Sometimes when we are praying, resting and waiting upon God or just changing our daily routine for a season, the Lord begins to move, work and do great things on our behalf. These are a few scriptures (KJV) that come to mind as I meditate on spiritual and physical sleep, slumber and rest which maybe good or bad.

Psalm 121:3-4, “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalm 127:2, “It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.”

Hebrews 4:1, “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. Verse 9, states, “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”

Song of Songs 5:2, “I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.”

Luke 22:46, “And said unto them, Why sleep ye? Rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.”

Romans 13:11, “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”

November Call to Prayer

February 13, 2010 Leave a comment

I’m getting very excited about next year’s Gatekeepers Prayer and Worship Summit on Capitol Hill and across from the White House!  The brochure is just about ready and will be sent to you soon!  You will love the new look and the message it conveys!

I have traveled to Alaska in January for many years now to rest, pray and seek the Lord for the New Year and have often stayed in a secluded cabin in the snow.  On one of my trips, I went to a little historical mountain climbing town called Talkeetna which is the last town that you can get to before reaching Mt. McKinley in the winter time.  You just can’t get any further because the snow and ice is too treacherous.

Talkeetna is also the town where you can get your last minute training and supplies for your journey before you ascend.  I was able to see some of the mountain from my warm and cozy cabin.  I will never forget the experience of seeing the Northern Lights as I stood outside in the sub zero degree weather just for a few moments late at night.  Don’t worry….I was dressed super warm, of course!  My dear Alaskan born friend and Board member, Kelly Allen, made sure of that!

It was a spectacular show of glory in the sky!  The heavens declare the glory of God!  I can’t help but to think of another Board member, Educator and Astronomer,(not Astrologer), Dr. Mike Reynolds, who often says, “Keep looking up!”  He teaches that science proves that there is a Creator!

Mount McKinley is also referred to as Denali.  And one of the most important things about this glorious and great mountain is that it is the highest mountain peak in North America. We have put a photograph of this great mountain on our brochure which is breathtaking.  It represents the significance of our “climb” or shall I say our “flight” to the top of the mountain summit of the Lord.  By His Holy Spirit, we are going to get there next year and for our Summit/Conference as well.

The Lord wants us to experience His presence, His Word, His revelation of Himself and of our times in a whole new level and height.  This Summit is for the purpose of changing us as well as changing the spiritual atmosphere of your nation and the earth.  The whole earth is full of His glory and He wants to open our spiritual eyes to see as He sees and to be effective in our work for Him.

Now after saying all of that, I want you to know that once again, I will be traveling to Alaska in January for my personal prayer journey near that great mountain, Denali, to respond to the Lord’s voice to “Come away My Beloved” to prepare for the Summit as well as for the New Year of 2010.  To refresh your memory, in my last communication with you I shared that, ‘”He will manifest His glory and His promises in due season if we continue to believe Him and faint not.”’ His timing is perfect for each of us!

Also I shared that, ‘”A Summit is a conference or meeting with high level leaders, usually called to shape a program of action.  It has been said that history is in the hands of the intercessors.  Perhaps it is better said that, history is in the hands of those who pray and lead the way.  Let’s make history in the heavens and see His glorious presence permeate Washington, DC and throughout the land…. Let’s declare, “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” Revelations 11:15.

And may I add that a Summit is also the highest point.

We are flying high to His Summit Mount,

October Call to Prayer

February 13, 2010 Leave a comment

It is time for us to pray together again!  Please join us in prayer on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2009 at 6:00pm Pacific time and 9:00 pm Eastern time at 616-347-8000 access code 371622#.  The words below in italics will be printed on our 2010 Brochure letter to be sent out soon.  I hope that it will encourage you to come and to bring others to our Prayer Summit next year in Washington, DC on April 22-24, 2010.

More importantly, we need your prayers and support now!  The Lord has promised prophetically that He was going to take us up to The Next Level.  We are to Dream big even in a time of famine! These are titles of sermons the Lord has given me and words I believe Him for as well.  He will manifest His glory and His promises in due season if we continue to believe Him and faint not.

God is calling His Gatekeepers to lead the way in prayer for the Church, our nation and global issues.  This call to prayer is not reserved for Prayer Leaders and Intercessors only.  It is also for Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, and Marketplace Leaders and all of Gods people.

We changed the name of our Conference to Summit and have now transitioned to FLMI Gatekeepers Prayer and Worship Summit. Our theme is Overcomers at the Gate inspired by Romans 12:21 and Revelations 12:11 and others.

A Summit is a conference or meeting with high level leaders, usually called to shape a program of action.  It has been said that history is in the hands of the intercessors.  Perhaps it is better said that, history is in the hands of those who pray and lead the way.  Lets make history in the heavens and see His glorious presence permeate Washington, DC and throughout the land.

Throughout the Summit and during the Gatekeepers Roundtable Forum and Luncheon, you will receive rich, spiritual insight and perspective as we cover the 7 mountains or kingdoms that influence society.  These kingdoms are Religion, Government/Justice, Family, Education, Business, Media/Technology and Arts/Entertainment.

Lets declare, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.  Revelations 11:15

We are Overcomers at the Gate,
